Terms of Service

Last updated August 21, 2026

These terms apply to every detailing appointment booked with Campbell Automotive Detail. Booking an appointment means you accept them.

1. Services we provide

Campbell Automotive Detail is a mobile automotive detailing service. We perform exterior washing, interior cleaning, shampoo and extraction, odor treatment, leather care and engine bay cleaning as described in the package you select. Work is performed either at your location within our service area or at our work station in Skokie, Illinois, whichever you choose at booking.

Our service area is Evanston, Skokie, Rogers Park, Chicago, Wilmette, Lincolnwood, Morton Grove. Work outside these areas is by arrangement only.

2. Booking and scheduling

Submitting the online booking form is a request, not a confirmed appointment. We confirm every appointment by phone or email before it is on the schedule. Appointment times are subject to availability, and we may propose an alternate time.

3. Arrival windows

  • The time you select is the start of an arrival window, not a guaranteed minute of arrival. We allow up to 30 minutes on either side of it.
  • Traffic, weather and jobs that run long can move a window. If we are running late we will call or text you.
  • Severe weather, unsafe conditions or freezing temperatures may require rescheduling. There is no charge when we are the ones who reschedule.
  • Business hours are Mon–Sat, 8am–6pm.

4. Your responsibilities

  • Provide safe, legal and unobstructed access to the vehicle, with enough room to work around all four sides.
  • Remove personal belongings, valuables, cash, electronics, documents, child seats you want detailed separately, and anything fragile before we arrive. We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle.
  • For mobile appointments, provide access to a working water supply. We cannot complete a wash without one. A standard household electrical outlet is also required for interior work.
  • Make sure the vehicle is unlocked or that keys are handed off, and disarm alarms that trigger on door or trunk access.
  • Tell us in advance about pet hair, smoke, mold, spills, biohazards or aftermarket finishes so we can quote the job accurately.

If we arrive and cannot work because access, water or power is unavailable, the appointment is treated as a no-show under section 7.

5. Pricing and quotes

Published package prices assume a vehicle in ordinary condition. Oversized vehicles, heavily soiled interiors, heavy pet hair, smoke odor, spilled liquids, sand, construction debris and excessive exterior contamination take significantly more time and material.

For those vehicles we inspect on arrival and give you an adjusted quote before starting. You are free to decline the adjustment; in that case we will either perform a reduced scope of work at the published price or reschedule at no charge. We never increase a price after the work is done without telling you first.

6. Payment

Payment is due when the detail is complete, unless we agree otherwise in writing. We accept the payment methods stated at the time of confirmation. Deposits, when required, are applied toward the final price. Returned or failed payments may incur the fee charged to us by the processor.

7. Cancellation, rescheduling and no-shows

Cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment at no cost. Late cancellations and no-shows are covered in full on our Payment, Cancellations & All Sales Final page, which forms part of these terms.

8. Right to refuse or stop service

We may decline or stop a job, before or during the appointment, when the vehicle or site is unsafe, when there is standing water, mold, biohazard material, insect or rodent infestation, when a customer is abusive, when the work would risk damaging compromised paint, trim or electronics, or when access, water or power is not available. If we stop partway through for one of these reasons, you are charged only for work completed.

9. Limitation of liability

Detailing cleans a vehicle; it does not repair one. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, worn or oxidized clear coat, cracked or brittle trim, failing adhesives, aftermarket wraps or films, aged interior plastics, previously repaired panels, water intrusion through faulty seals, or electrical faults that surface during normal safe cleaning. These conditions are covered in detail in our Liability Waiver.

To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law, our total liability for any claim arising out of an appointment is limited to the amount you paid for that appointment. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including loss of use or lost income.

Point out any damage before the vehicle leaves our possession, or report it to us within 24 hours of service, so we can inspect the vehicle while its condition is verifiable. Once the vehicle has been driven away and returned to normal use, its condition can no longer be established, and claims made after that point cannot be verified and will not be accepted. Do not have repairs performed before contacting us.

10. Photography

We may photograph vehicles before and after service for quality records and marketing. We blur or crop license plates. Tell us at the appointment if you prefer your vehicle not be used publicly and we will honor it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version posted on this page at the time you book is the version that applies to that appointment.
