Payment, Cancellations & All Sales Final

Last updated August 21, 2026

This page explains how payment works here: how to move or cancel an appointment, and how we handle it if you are not happy with the work once it is done.

Cancelling or rescheduling — 24 hours notice

Cancel or reschedule at no cost as long as you tell us at least 24 hours before your appointment. Call or text (773) 432-5251 or email Contact@campbellautomotivedetail.com. A phone call is fastest.

Late cancellations and no-shows

Every appointment holds a block of time that we turn other customers away for. When it is cancelled at the last minute, that time cannot be refilled.

  • Cancelled less than 24 hours before the appointment: a $25 late cancellation fee, or forfeit of the deposit if one was taken.
  • No-show, or nobody available to hand over the vehicle within 30 minutes of our arrival: a $25 no-show fee, or forfeit of the deposit.
  • Arriving to find no water supply, no power, or no safe access at a mobile appointment is treated as a no-show, because the job cannot be performed.
  • First-time slip-ups happen. If it is your first missed appointment, tell us what happened — we will usually waive it once.

Deposits

Most appointments do not require a deposit. When we do take one — typically for Full Detail bookings, large vehicles or add-on quoted work — the deposit is non-refundable if you cancel inside the 24-hour window or do not show. It is applied in full toward the price of the service when the appointment goes ahead, and it is returned in full if we are the ones who cancel or reschedule.

When we reschedule

Heavy rain, snow, freezing temperatures or unsafe working conditions may force us to move a mobile appointment. If we cancel or reschedule for any reason, there is no fee and any deposit is refunded or carried to the new date, your choice.

Satisfaction guarantee

If something was missed or does not look right, we fix it. Contact us within 48 hours of your appointment, tell us specifically what the issue is, and send a photo if you can. We will schedule a return visit and re-clean the affected area at no charge, normally within 7 days.

The re-clean is the sole remedy for a workmanship complaint: the fix is a return visit and a re-clean of the affected area, not money back. Our commitment is to keep working until the area in question is right. Vehicles must be available for the re-clean in substantially the same condition; new dirt from a week of driving is not a missed spot.

What the guarantee does not cover

  • Results that cleaning cannot achieve — permanent stains, dye transfer, etched water spots, sun-faded plastic, worn clear coat and torn or cracked upholstery.
  • New dirt, spills or weather after the appointment.
  • Work explicitly excluded from our Service Agreement, such as paint correction, dent removal or rust repair.
  • Requests to add services that were not part of the package you booked.

All sales are final

Once service has been performed, payment is final and non-refundable. Detailing is a labor service — the hours and the materials are spent the moment the work is done, and they cannot be returned or resold. That is how this business operates, and booking an appointment means you agree to it.

This applies to completed work of any package. It does not affect cancellations made before the appointment, which are covered above.

When money does come back

There are exactly two situations where we return payment:

  • We never performed the service at all — we did not show up, or the appointment was never carried out.
  • You were charged the wrong amount — a billing or arithmetic error on our side.

In either case we correct it promptly and without argument. Refunds go back to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days. Dissatisfaction with the results of completed work is not a refund situation — it is handled by the re-clean guarantee above.
